Mid-Cumberland Human Resources Agency (MCHRA) RTS Public Transit What is RTS? MCHRA runs a regional transit system (RTS), which is a door-to-door public transportation service. Their service-area includes Sumner County, Robertson County, Davidson County and 9 other counties. Who can ride? Anyone can ride! Routine service is open to the general public. The RTS is especially suited for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Can I take the RTS van to the doctor's office? to the grocery store? to an appointment in Nashville? to a friend's house? Yes! What is the cost of the ride? Fares run from $1.50 to $2.00 each way for trips within your home county. Out-of-county fares are based on the destination. The fare rate will be given when you make a reservation. How can I schedule a ride? Please call (615) 452-5868 [Sumner County] or (615) 384-9335 [Robertson County] at least 24 hours in advance to make a reservation within your home county. Please call at least 72 hours in advance to schedule out-of-county reservations. RTS office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Are service animals permitted to accompany a rider?
